Let us introduce ourselves. We are Mari and John. We're semi-retired professionals who enjoy being active and involved. Mari enjoys cardmaking and keeping active, but her passion is animals. John works as a manager and senior loan officer for Neighborly Financial Mortgage company and enjoys many hobbies on the side. In addition to being our resident ball thrower, John enjoys trail running, woodworking, golfing, volunteering with Placer County Search and Rescue. We look forward to meeting you!
Our Dog.......
Beau
Beau is our 6th golden retriever, but our first golden retriever puppy! We adopted Beau from Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue in June 2008, when he was 6 months old. We've always adopted older dogs, but after losing our two golden oldies in 2008, we thought we'd adopt a youngster this time. Beau is an exuberant normal puppy, and he loves other dogs. If your pup likes to play, Beau will welcome a new friend!

Luke
We didn't set out to adopt a kitten, but last Spring (2009) we stumbled upon Luke and his littermates huddled in a leaf pile when they were 4 weeks old.....so the story begins. We brought them all in, cared for them, and placed all but Luke, because he was sick. After several weeks and several vet visits, Luke was healthy and ready for his forever home - ours!
We know some dogs have not been around cats, or some dogs may not enjoy the company of a cat - so Luke has his own dedicated room where he can hang out when doggie visitors come. But if your dog likes cats, Luke is happy to hang out with them!
Our home......
We have a large back yard with a pool and lots of grass and trees. Your dog would be part of our family during their stay...they would have run of the house and yard (per your instructions), multiple play times throughout the day, and sleep in our room at night. We are home most of the day, so your dog would have lots of companionship while you are away.
